My name is Brittany Lawler, I was born and raised in Illinois. As the daughter and sister of creative and brilliant people, I was lucky to have been raised in an environment where my imagination and my deep love of literature was sparked. After graduating high school, I attended Benedictine University, where I majored in Publishing and Literature. Following my studies at Benedictine, I moved into the city of Chicago to attend DePaul University where I earned a graduate degree in Journalism. After moving to Chicago, I was hooked. I fell in love with the city's immense diversity of people and cultures.
After years of reading and recommending dozens of books to my family and friends, I decided to create a blog to share my thoughts. I love literature (everything from the classics to good old chick-lit), so I wanted to start a discussion with like-minded people. My hope is to, one day write a novel that sparks a conversation of love, passion, adventure, social commentary and the human condition, like many of the novels that have inspired me.
I currently live in Chicago, in a wonderful apartment that is constantly overflowing with books.
